Business Litigation Associate
An Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate to join its Minneapolis office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated commercial disputes for a national and international client base while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of complex litigation.
Responsibilities
- Handle commercial and business litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs
- Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including e-discovery
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances
- Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy
- Support matters involving class actions, antitrust, securities, shareholder, franchise, and corporate governance disputes
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- 2-5 years of law firm litigation experience
- Experience with complex commercial litigation matters
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedure and discovery practice
- Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Deposition, hearing, or oral argument experience preferred
