What You'll Do

  • Partner with U.S. insurance regulators on regulatory matters, including inquiries, market conduct examinations, and financial examinations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with U.S. regulators
  • Oversee governance for U.S.-based insurance companies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with actuarial and finance teams to file new products and annual financial statements
  • Support audits (internal and external) and licensing processes for individuals and entities
  • Partner with business owners to design and implement initiatives in a fully compliant manner
  • Advise leadership on regulatory risks and solutions

Requirements

  • Law degree (strong academic pedigree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance and insurance law
  • Combination of law firm and in-house experience
  • Proven experience engaging with insurance regulators
  • Licensed in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance (preferred)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong business judgment and ability to articulate complex regulatory concepts to leaders and external partners
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
