A leading financial services firm specialized in insurance-driven investments is looking to hire a Statutory Reporting Supervisor to the New York City office. This position will report directly into the Director of Statutory Reporting and have the autonomy to build their own team as needed.
Title: Statutory Reporting Supervisor
Location: New York City (midtown)
Salary: $115,000-165,000/yr
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all quarterly and annual statutory filings, while also providing direct technical support when needed
- Manage state licensing processes and monitor any changes to reflect firm compliance with state guidelines
- Serve as a subject matter expert on reporting/accounting for internal stakeholders and regulators
- Assist with annual auditing
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 4+ years' experience in a similar role within the insurance or reinsurance industry
- Working knowledge of GAAP and STAT reporting
- Familiarity with Life and Health annual preparation software
- Ability to synthesize complex accounting principles and findings to a general audience
