They are looking for a Senior Patent Agent to lead IP reviews, manage patent prosecution, and maintain the patent portfolio. This is a fully-remote opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with outside counsel on patent preparation and prosecution (US and foreign)
- Review and draft freedom-to-operate opinions on third party IP
- Work closely with R&D to assess patentability of new inventions and draft invention disclosures
- Lead IP reviews with key internal stakeholders
- Develop strategies to enhance company's patent portfolio
- Propose and manage IP budgets
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in life sciences field
- Registered to USPTO
- 5+ YOE preparing and prosecuting patent applications (molecular biology or NGS experience strongly preferred)
