A top Global Investment Management firm in Los Angeles is looking to hire a Senior Compliance Manager to handle the oversight of client services operations and onboarding for the firm's institutional clientele, and provide compliance support on investment offerings across multiple business lines, while managing a small team of direct reports. This role will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing a small team of compliance associates while conducting oversight of the firm's institutional business operations and client onboarding services for institutional prospects. The candidate will be responsible for many cross-functional duties, such as collaborating with attorneys in the Legal department, the Sales team, and other senior managers across the firm on various strategic initiatives.
The firm is ideally looking for experienced candidates with prior experience in a compliance and client operations role. This candidate will need leadership experience in past roles in the form of directly managing teams. Strong expertise in institutional investing is required as well.
Responsibilities:
- Directly managing and overseeing a small team of associates in the firm's compliance department
- Handle the oversight of client services operations and onboarding for institutional prospects, and vendor management
- Ensuring the operational effectiveness of client activities and accounts
- Conducting research on both external and internal changes and trends in regulatory practices
- Working with senior managers across different business units, including legal and compliance
Qualifications:
- Prior senior-level experience in a compliance & business operations role, with a deep understanding of institutional investment vehicles
- Past leadership experience in directly managing and developing teams of compliance associates
- The ability to effectively communicate and work with senior management and different business units cross-functionally
- Willingness to come onsite to the Los Angeles office on a hybrid schedule
