An industry leading integrated eye care provider is looking to add a Senior Compliance Auditor to their medical billing team! While reporting to the Associate General Counsel and the Director of compliance, this role is aimed to identify potential billing and coding issues while maintaining compliance with any amended enforcement trends, laws, rules, and regulations. This role is remote with periodic visits to their Arcadia, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring potential billing and coding issues, conducting investigations as necessary
- Draft audit plans for scheduled and unscheduled audits and investigations
- Preform audits on billing and coding, in compliance with CPT coding standards and guidelines set forth by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services
- Develop training and corrective action plans
- Design and implement policy and procedures related to billing and coding compliance and risk assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- 3+ years experience working in compliance within a healthcare system
- Experience in medical compliance auditing
- CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS coding experience
- Experience in Ophthalmology is a plus
- CPMA, CHC preferred
