A global private equity firm is seeking to add a M&A counsel member to their growing legal team located in Los Angeles. Ideal candidates have experience handling mergers and acquisitions within private equity in a law firm practice group and in-house experience is a plus. This position will work alongside both C-Suite and the General Counsel to provide support on M&A efforts. Day to day functions will include drafting transactional documents and overseeing organizational legal documents relating to M&A transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with all legal matters pertaining to mergers and acquisitions to the deal team
- Assist in the drafting and review of purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.
- Assess and manage risk relating to M&A transactions and deals
- Work closely with General Counsel and senior management
Qualifications:
- 3+ Years of Experience (Prior In-House experience is a plus)
- Admitted to the CA Bar
- JD from a reputable law school
- Prior history of successful negotiation skills
