Our client is a leading global private equity firm. As a Regulatory Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with applicable US laws and regulations. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing expert legal guidance to drive business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing and proposed regulations: Dive into the intricacies of US laws and regulations relevant to investments and business operations.
- Align with regulatory standards: Ensure that our practices adhere to legal requirements while maintaining high ethical standards.
- Compliance Assurance: Monitor changes in regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels. Analyze how these changes affect our investment strategies, portfolio companies, and day-to-day operations.
- Identify potential risks: Proactively spot compliance gaps or areas of concern. Provide actionable advice to mitigate risks and maintain legal compliance.
- Strategic initiatives: Partner with business units to offer timely legal advice on product launches, acquisitions, and other critical projects.
- Operational matters: Assist in navigating legal complexities related to day-to-day business activities.
Qualifications:
- US qualified attorney
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the financial services or private equity industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
