A leading international insurance company, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to oversee the operations in the China market. In this role, you will ensure legal compliance, provide expert advice, and support business growth. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will collaborate with regional offices and entities in China.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with insurance, banking, pensions, and investment regulations in China.
- Provide expert legal advice on contracts, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
- Develop and implement policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare board resolution for anual general meeting for China entities.
- Stay updated on legal changes and provide proactive recommendations.
- Liaise with regional offices and entities in China.
- Report regularly to the General Counsel on legal matters.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 6-12 years of post-qualification experience.
- In-depth knowledge of China's legal landscape in insurance and investments.
- Experience liaising with regional offices and entities in China.
- Strong reporting and communication skills.
- Naytive in Mandarin Chinese, fluent in English
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative team player.
