We are seeking a talented and dynamic Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with a California license and 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team. This position primarily sits out of our Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco office, or the potential to sit remotely for the right candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse range of employment law matters, including single-plaintiff employment litigation (e.g., workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination lawsuits) and class action/PAGA experience.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and motions, and proficiently argue motions in court.
- Conduct depositions, defend depositions, and represent clients in administrative hearings.
- Draft and revise workplace policies tailored to client needs.
- Conduct employee trainings on various employment law topics.
- Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to employers on compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- California Bar license in good standing.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Demonstrated experience in employment litigation and class action/PAGA matters.
- Strong proficiency in drafting legal documents and motions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to conduct legal research efficiently and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Prior experience in administrative hearings.
- Familiarity with drafting and implementing workplace policies.
- Ability to conduct employee trainings.
