Summary
A well-known immigration firm, is seeking a highly motivated attorney with a passion for the immigration field to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and interacting with clients on a daily basis.
This is an in-person role out of one of the firms offices in Maryland (Baltimore, Silver Spring, or Langley Park) or Virginia (Manassas).
Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential clients to discuss their cases and legal needs, receiving bonus compensation for signing new clients.
- Coordinate legal strategies and manage multiple cases, supervise paralegals, and oversee projects and deadlines.
- Train and supervise staff to ensure effective case management and high-quality work.
- Prepare and revise court documents, conduct legal research, and draft motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and judicial case law to inform legal strategies.
- Cross-sell other practices within the firm and handle court hearings and trials.
- Develop expertise in Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, and Waivers.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required)
- Active bar license in state of work
- Authorized to work in the US
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- 1+ years of immigration experience
