An industry leading integrated eye care provider is looking to add a Director of Compliance to their team! While reporting to the General Counsel, this role is aimed to maintain the Compliance program with proficiency in Revenue Cycle. This role will sit hybrid in the Los Angeles Metro area.
Responsibilities:
- Draft policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with state and federal rules and regulations
- Monitoring potential billing and coding issues, conducting investigations as necessary
- Draft audit plans for scheduled and unscheduled audits and investigations
- Preform audits on billing and coding directly from an EMR system, ensuring compliance with CPT coding standards and guidelines set forth by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services
- Develop training and corrective action plans
- Educate staff of compliance measures based on audit results and corrective action plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years experience working in compliance and revenue cycle within a healthcare system
- Managerial experience
- Experience in medical compliance auditing
- CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding experience
- Experience in Ophthalmology is a plus
- CPMA, CHC preferred
