A leading life and health insurance firm in Atlanta is looking to bring on a senior regulatory professional to serve as an AVP, Compliance. This position reports directly into the General Counsel/Chief Compliance Offer and will oversee two teams: one related to product implementation and another to regulatory filings.
Title: AVP, Compliance
Salary: $150,000-$180,000/yr plus discretionary bonus
Location: Atlanta, GA
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage two distinct teams of 5+ product implementation specialists and regulatory filers
- Serve as firm subject matter expert on federal and state regulations pertinent to the life and health insurance industries (open to those in a P&C background so long as skillsets related to policy/regulatory change remain transferrable)
- Oversee all SERFF filings and assist with electronic form submittals of direct reports
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (JD preferred)
- At least 5+ years in a regulatory or compliance role within the insurance industry
- Must have direct people/team management experience, including but not limited to hiring, training, delegation, progress checks, and termination
