A distinguished commercial insurance institution is looking to add an Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Compliance to its Legal team in Chicago! In this role, you will be managing the Regulatory department and its staff, along with overseeing the regulatory affairs and compliance activities for the organization. This role will have a focus on filing and licensing for corporate insurance matters. The AVP-Regulatory Compliance opportunity offers an exciting path for professional growth and will sit as a hybrid model in downtown Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review the compliance program's policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure the company is compliant with corporate insurance industry requirement standards as well as in regulation with laws from governing bodies
- Lead the organization on filing and licensing compliance activities
- Manage internal and external audits with third-party vendors
- Provide strategic direction for the Regulatory Compliance team
- Execute regulatory risk management for the company and identify and develop opportunities as the result of regulatory changes
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience of regulatory compliance in the corporate insurance space
- Leadership experience (direct reports)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field
- Well versed in creating and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company's best practices
- Experience with corporate insurance products and services, specifically filing and licensing
- Financial services experience is a plus
- FINRA Series 63
