A National Renewable Energy company that is paving the way for others in the industry is looking to grow their legal team. As the Assistant General Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in the business by leading all matters related to the development and construction of their renewable energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney to work with a dynamic and fast-paced team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, change orders, and risk management.
- Lead the negotiation and drafting of EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements and other complex construction agreements.
- Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the Renewable Energy industry.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with projects, providing guidance on project-specific legal issues, and ensuring that risk management practices are in place.
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one state
- Minimum of 9 years of legal experience in the renewable energy space
- Proven experience managing change orders, disputes and risk management.
- 9 plus years of experience drafting and negotiating EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements, and supply agreements
