Labor and Employment Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join a growing legal team in a fully remote role. This attorney will focus on administrative employment matters, including managing EEOC charges, responding to agency investigations, advising clients on employment law compliance, and handling employment-related disputes before administrative agencies.
Labor and Employment Attorney Responsibilities
- Manage and defend EEOC charges and other administrative agency matters.
- Prepare position statements, responses, and supporting documentation for agency investigations.
- Advise clients on employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leave laws, and workplace policies.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical risk-management recommendations.
- Support internal investigations and employee relations matters.
- Draft and review employment-related agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR professionals, business leaders, and legal teams on compliance initiatives.
- Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and provide guidance on legal developments.
Labor and Employment Attorney Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar License in good standing.
- Minimum of 6 years of labor and employment law experience.
- Significant experience handling EEOC charges and administrative agency matters.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience advising employers on employment law compliance and risk management.
