KYC / Account Opening Specialist - Private Banking

An emerging private bank is seeking a meticulous and adaptable professional to join its Singapore-based team, focusing on KYC, account opening, and periodic reviews. This role supports the COO function and ensures regulatory compliance, operational accuracy, and timely execution across the client lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end account onboarding, ensuring documentation completeness and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
Conduct KYC and Source of Wealth (SoW) reviews for clients across varying AML risk levels; escalate high-risk cases as needed.
Monitor and manage overdue reviews and documentation gaps, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborate with compliance teams on audit readiness and resolution of outstanding issues.
Participate in system testing (UAT) and contribute to SOP updates to reflect evolving processes and regulations.
Provide AML/CFT training and ensure regulatory updates are effectively communicated to relevant teams.
Support operational continuity during staff absences or peak periods.

Requirements

Proven experience in KYC, account opening, and SoW reviews, ideally within the private banking sector.
Strong understanding of MAS AML/CFT regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Avaloq or similar banking platforms is advantageous.
Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is preferred due to client profile.
Excellent attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a collaborative mindset.
