General Liability Attorney - White Plains/NYC

The firm is currently seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its high-performing team in either its White Plains or New York City office. The ideal candidate will bring 3-8 years of litigation experience, with a strong background in general liability, premises liability, and transportation/trucking matters. This role requires someone who can confidently manage cases independently, conduct and defend depositions, and handle court appearances and motion practice.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes litigation alongside seasoned litigators. You'll be responsible for managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, pleadings, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Responsibilites:
- Handle general liability and transportation-related cases with minimal supervision.
- Conduct and defend depositions; attend court conferences and hearings.
- Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and execution.
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on general liability and premises liability.
- Strong deposition and courtroom experience.
- Experience with trucking/transportation litigation is highly preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy and proficient with legal research and case management tools.
