Commercial Counsel - Software
An American Institution with International reach is looking to hire an Commercial Counsel. This industry leader, who has had operations for over 150 years, provides Software Solutions to thousands of Retail/Consumer Goods Companies across the globe. The dynamic legal team is looking to add on a Contracts focused In-House Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements for company
- Focus on vendor contracts
- Work cross functionally with different business units to advise on sales strategies
- Negotiate with counter parties
- Collaborate with outside counsel on best legal practices
- Build relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Work to reduce risk
- Support legal team when needed
Requirements:
- JD from ABA accredited law school
- 4+ years of legal experience
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, preferably on the vendor side
- Commercial focused background with technology agreement experience
- Communication skills. With non-legal professionals and with business partners
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- 3 days on-site requirement
