About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Associate to join our Client's Media, AI & Adtech regulatory and policy team in London. In this role, you will help shape strathe tegy and advocacy across a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners, including Legal, Product, Engineering, Government Affairs, and Communications, to ensure our products, services, and innovations align with emerging requirements across the UK, EU, and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Analysis & Advisory

    • Monitor, interpret, and analyse evolving regulations affecting media, AI, digital markets, online advertising, data governance, and platform accountability.
    • Provide clear, actionable guidance to internal teams on compliance obligations and regulatory risk.
  • Policy Development & Advocacy

    • Support the creation of policy positions, briefing materials, and thought leadership on topics including AI governance, targeted advertising, content distribution, automated decision‑making, and transparency.
    • Contribute to regulatory consultations, stakeholder engagements, and responses to government inquiries.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to assess regulatory impact on product design and launch strategies.
    • Work with Legal and Compliance to evaluate proposed models, data practices, and advertising tools.
  • Monitoring & Horizon Scanning

    • Track legislative activity and regulatory developments across the UK, EU, and relevant international bodies (e.g., Ofcom, ICO, CMA, EU Commission).
    • Prepare timely updates for leadership on emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Project & Stakeholder Support

    • Assist in preparing briefing packs, executive summaries, and internal presentations.
    • Help coordinate external engagements with regulators, trade associations, NGOs, and industry partners.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in England and Wales
  • Experience in regulatory, policy, legal, or compliance work within technology, media, telecoms, AI, or advertising.
  • Strong understanding of the UK/EU regulatory landscape, including developments in AI governance, digital regulation, online advertising standards, and data protection.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into practical advice.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • A passion for technology and its impact on society, markets, and public policy.
