Charlotte, NC | Hybrid Schedule
Compensation: $140,000-$190,000+ depending on experience
A nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its growing Charlotte office. What You'll Do
- Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
- Develop case strategy and work directly with clients and carriers
- Draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other substantive filings
- Attend court appearances, depositions, hearings, and mediations
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on complex litigation matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in North Carolina
- 2+ years of litigation experience
- Defense litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- General Liability
- Premises Liability
- Products Liability
- Transportation
- Employment Litigation
- Insurance Defense
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience handling depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation is a plus
