A longstanding, full‑service law firm based in Orange County, CA is seeking a California‑licensed Employment Attorney to join its thriving and expanding Labor & Employment practice. The firm represents a diverse range of businesses across industries, both within California and nationwide. Its L&E team handles the full spectrum of employment matters-from day‑to‑day counseling to pre‑litigation disputes and complex litigation-and often serves as trusted outside general counsel to its clients.
Responsibilities
- Handle employment litigation matters, including single‑plaintiff cases, class actions, and PAGA representative actions.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, and dispositive motions (including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and summary adjudication).
- Prepare mediation briefs, trial briefs, trial documents, and support trial preparation.
- Assist with depositions and all phases of written and oral discovery.
- Provide advice and counseling on a wide range of employment law issues, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, termination, and wage-and-hour matters
Qualifications
- 3-8 years demonstrated experience with California employment disputes and litigation, including pre-litigation disputes, single plaintiff cases, and class and PAGA cases.
- Strong analytical, legal research, and writing abilities with a record of superior academic performance.
- Experience drafting complex motions, briefs, discovery responses, and trial‑related documents.
- Ability to work collaboratively, take constructive feedback, communicate professionally, and represent the firm and clients with maturity and professionalism.
