Compensation: Starting at $260,000-$420,000+, commensurate with class year and experience
My client, an AmLaw Ranked Top global law firm, is seeking a mid-sr level associate with 3-8+ years of experience in complex employment litigation to join its highly regarded Labor & Employment practice. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a primary partner, ensuring meaningful responsibility, consistent exposure, and a clear development track within a team known for strong attorney retention and a supportive culture.

Position Overview
The Labor & Employment group represents employers ranging from emerging companies to global corporations across a wide range of industries. The team handles high-stakes single-plaintiff matters, complex wage and hour class actions, and provides counseling aimed at minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
The associate hired for this role will be involved in all stages of litigation and counseling, and will have the opportunity for significant client interaction and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Litigate employment matters, including wage and hour class actions, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims.
- Draft substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Appear in court for contested hearings.
- Advise clients on federal and California employment law issues.
- Counsel employers on restrictive covenants consistent with California law.
- Provide wage and hour compliance guidance, including policy review and participation in audits.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy and case management.
Qualifications
- 3-8+ years of experience in complex employment litigation at a law firm.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, particularly California employment law.
- Experience handling wage and hour class actions and single-plaintiff employment litigation
- Courtroom experience preferred.
