EMEA Legal Counsel - SVP

Position Overview
A leading global fintech firm experiencing rapid growth is seeking a Vice President / Senior Vice President, Fund Attorney to join its International Legal Team. This role will primarily support private funds, focusing on fund formation, structuring, marketing, and distribution across the EMEA region.

This is a compelling opportunity to be part of a high-performing legal team and play a key role in scaling a business that is redefining the alternative investment landscape. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with teams such as Client Solutions, Product Development, Structuring, Regulatory & Compliance, and Operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate agreements with premier fund managers and distribution partners.
  • Draft and review offering documents, partnership agreements, side letters, and placement contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance on cross-border implications for new and existing investment products.
  • Liaise with external counsel on regulatory, corporate, and fund-related matters.
  • Support general corporate legal needs and commercial contract negotiations.
  • Lead legal strategy for new initiatives and innovative fund structures.
  • Manage complex legal projects with accuracy and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • 6-7+ years of post-qualification experience in fund formation within private equity or hedge fund environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Luxembourg corporate structures and regulatory regimes.
  • Familiarity with U.S. securities laws (Investment Company Act, Advisers Act, Securities Act, Exchange Act) and FINRA regulations is advantageous.
  • Qualified to practice in the UK, New York, or another relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience in both law firm and in-house legal roles preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • High integrity, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
