Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join this organization's leadership team for a role focusing on employment law and requires deep expertise in workplace regulations and compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance on employment matters, oversee risk management, and ensure adherence to labor laws at both federal and state levels.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate employment agreements, company policies, and related documentation.
  • Advise leadership and HR teams on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring practices, terminations, disciplinary actions, compensation, benefits, leave management, accommodations, and workplace investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with labor and employment regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, OSHA, and WARN requirements.
  • Lead internal investigations and audits related to employment matters; provide actionable recommendations.
  • Design and deliver training sessions on employment law topics for managers and staff.
  • Oversee employment-related litigation and arbitration, working closely with external counsel to manage case strategy, filings, and proceedings.
  • Coordinate with external legal partners and vendors as necessary.
  • Support organizational safety programs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in employment law, ideally within a corporate environment.
  • Strong command of federal and state labor regulations and best practices.
