Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters from initial evaluation through final resolution
- Conduct trials, hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences
- Work closely with claims partners and internal stakeholders to develop strategic case plans
- Prepare motions, briefs, and clear internal assessments
- Contribute to a collaborative attorney team that values shared expertise and consistent case quality
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards while representing the company in administrative proceedings
Qualifications
- J.D. and active California Bar membership
- Approximately 3-4+ years of litigation experience (workers' compensation preferred)
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills
- Experience handling hearings, depositions, and trials independently
- Excellent writing, organization, and time‑management abilities
- Background may include law firm or in‑house practice
