Company Overview
We're working with a well-established global financial institution that plays a central role in the structured finance and credit markets. Known for its analytical depth and strong reputation among investors, the business is continuing to expand its European platform and is looking to hire a structured finance lawyer into its London team.
The Role
You'll sit within a highly regarded legal function that works closely with front-office and analytical teams on a broad range of securitisation and structured finance transactions across Europe and internationally. The team is embedded in the deal process, providing real-time legal insight into transaction structures and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyse transaction documentation across a variety of structured finance products
- Assess legal and structural considerations and their potential impact on credit outcomes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate deal structures
- Contribute to internal decision-making processes on live transactions
- Support the production of market-facing materials and transaction-related analysis
Required Qualifications
- England & Wales qualified lawyer with 4-8 years' PQE
- Strong experience in securitisation and/or structured finance (private practice or in-house)
- Comfortable managing multiple transactions and working to deadlines
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex legal structures
- Collaborative but equally able to operate independently
