A reputable client in the Boston area, is seeking a talented and motivated mid-level attorney with 3+ years of experience, to join their Private Investments Funds team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly respected team that advises private investment fund sponsors and institutional investors through all stages of the fund lifecycle-from formation and operation to liquidation.
This role is ideal for candidates who are looking to deepen their expertise in private fund transactions and work in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that supports long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise institutional investors on investments in private funds and co-investment opportunities.
- Support secondary transactions involving interests in private investment funds.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to fund clients.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on fund structures, regulatory compliance, and market trends.
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation and related agreements.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Massachusetts bar.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in private investment funds, secondary transactions, or institutional investor representation.
- Familiarity with private fund structures and applicable laws and regulations (e.g., Investment Advisers Act, Securities Act).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
