Associate General Counsel
Our client, a leading energy services organization, is seeking a highly skilled Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. This critical role will provide strategic legal support across a wide range of areas, including asset management, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and other high-impact initiatives that drive growth and operational excellence.
Location: Remote within DE, PA, MD, OH, VA, NC, GA, or FL (periodic travel required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, draft, and review complex agreements such as technology contracts, service agreements, leases, easements, and supply arrangements.
- Provide counsel on major growth projects, energy delivery services, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and real estate transactions.
- Collaborate closely with internal business units and oversee external counsel to ensure efficient and cost-effective legal solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and participate in professional organizations to maintain cutting-edge expertise.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate with 8-10+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate setting.
- Active Bar membership in Delaware, Maryland, Florida, or Ohio.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and drafting complex contracts.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with natural gas industry regulations is a plus.
