Associate Attorney - Transportation
We are partnered with a reputable national client seeking a mid-level attorney to join their Civil Litigation (Transportation) Group practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a personal caseload from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct legal research to support litigation strategies.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and attorneys to develop case strategies.
- Provide regular status updates and written reports to clients.
- Assist partners and senior attorneys with case management and trial preparation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures.
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
- Experience responding to discovery and conducting depositions.
- Focus areas include Transportation, Construction Litigation, and Tort Liability.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $110,000 - $170,000 (commensurate with experience).
