This role offers exposure to high-quality private equity and M&A transactions, working alongside market-leading partners and an impressive client base of private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, management teams and institutional investors.
The team is regularly instructed on some of the most sophisticated mid-market and upper mid-market transactions in the UK and internationally, providing associates with the opportunity to work on complex, high-value deals while developing strong commercial and technical expertise.
The Role
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of private equity and corporate transactions, including:
- Sponsor-led acquisitions and disposals
- Auction and bilateral M&A processes
- Growth capital and minority investments
- Portfolio company and bolt-on acquisitions
- Management incentive arrangements
- Corporate restructurings and strategic advisory matters
- Cross-border transactions involving international stakeholders
Associates are encouraged to take ownership of transactions from an early stage and will benefit from significant client exposure, direct partner access and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in deal execution.

Candidate Requirements
Applications are welcomed from lawyers who can demonstrate:
- 3-6 years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading UK, US or international law firm
- Strong experience advising on private equity and/or M&A transactions
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Commercial awareness and sound judgment
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team
Lawyers with experience advising private equity sponsors, management teams or portfolio companies will be particularly well suited to this opportunity, although candidates from broader corporate backgrounds with significant transactional experience are also encouraged to apply.
