Senior Counsel - General Liability
A leading national defense litigation law firm is seeking a Senior Counsel with a minimum of 10+ years of litigation experience to join its Dallas office. About the Role
Attorneys in this role will handle a diverse caseload of high‑exposure matters while working directly with sophisticated national clients on general liability, construction, transportation, or insurance defense matters. Attorneys will also be collaborating with internal teams of highly experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Conduct all aspects of litigation, including: Trial preparation, investigation, court appearances, mediations, and depositions
- Collaborate closely with partners and other attorneys
- Communicate with clients, provide case updates, and develop strategic recommendations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 10+ years of defense litigation experience
- Background in general liability, transportation, trucking accidents, construction, or catastrophic industrial accidents
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to excel in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Experience interacting directly with clients preferred
- Legal project management experience is a plus
- First-chair trial experience highly desirable
