We are seeking a talented Derivatives Associate (1-5 PQE) to join a leading Financial Services & Markets practice with a strong reputation for complex advisory work, sophisticated transactional support and deep technical excellence.This role offers exposure to a broad range of derivatives and structured products work, advising asset managers, financial institutions, investors and corporates on the full spectrum of trading, clearing and collateral arrangements.
You will support partners and senior lawyers across both domestic and cross‑border matters, with opportunities to take on front‑line responsibility, build client relationships and develop technical strength in high‑value, market‑shaping transactions.
Work Profile
You will gain hands‑on experience across areas such as:
- ISDA‑based documentation, including negotiation of Schedules, CSAs, collateral arrangements and ancillary trading documents.
- Equity, credit, rates and FX derivatives, with scope to develop expertise in both OTC and exchange‑traded products.
- Structured products, including repacks, notes programmes and bespoke investor‑driven structures.
- Regulatory advisory work, covering EMIR, MiFID II, MAR and related UK regulatory developments.
- Support on M&A and corporate transactions, providing derivatives input on hedging, novations and transitional arrangements.

What We're Looking For
- 1-5 years' PQE from a recognised financial markets, banking or derivatives practice.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating ISDA and other trading documentation.
- A solid grounding in derivatives regulation and the ability to apply regulatory frameworks to real‑time client issues.
- Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and confidence handling responsibility in a fast‑moving environment.
- Commitment to developing deep product knowledge and long‑term client relationships.
