Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel (First U.S. Legal Hire)
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including distribution, clinical, and consulting agreements, supporting business operations and strategic initiatives
- Advise commercial and cross-functional stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters with applicable healthcare, medical device, and anti‑corruption laws in the US, e.g. FCPA, AKS, False Claims Act, Stark Laws, Sunshine Act (transparency), HIPAA and privacy & cybersecurity laws, anti-trust (FTC), reimbursement (Medicare / Medicaid), medical research and clinical trials regulations.
- Support interactions with healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, and other external partners
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance program including HCP engagement, transparency reporting, and third-party risk management
- Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks while delivering practical business-focused solutions
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives supporting continued U.S. growth
- J.D. and active bar membership in good standing
- Legal experience within medical device, medtech, healthcare technology, life sciences, or a similarly regulated industry
- Deep knowledge of HCP engagement regulations, anti-corruption laws, transparency reporting, and third-party risk.
- Strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience
- Experience advising business stakeholders on legal and compliance risks
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance considerations and interactions with healthcare professionals
