Join a growing property insurance organization where you'll have the opportunity to work closely with claims leadership, influence strategy, and provide practical legal guidance on complex insurance matters. This role offers a unique blend of legal analysis, claims collaboration, dispute resolution, and business partnership in a fast-paced in-house environment.

As a Staff Attorney, you'll be a key resource for evaluating risk, navigating challenging claims issues, developing resolution strategies, and helping drive favorable outcomes across a diverse portfolio of first-party property matters.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide legal guidance and strategic counsel on first-party property insurance matters
  • Partner with claims professionals to evaluate exposure, develop case strategies, and identify opportunities for resolution
  • Handle matters through mediation, arbitration, litigation, and settlement negotiations
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex coverage and claims-related issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and operational initiatives
  • Monitor industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory considerations impacting claims and litigation
  • Help identify efficiencies and best practices that enhance claims and legal operations

What We're Looking For:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Florida Bar license
  • Experience in first-party property insurance, insurance coverage, claims, or related litigation
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance legal risk with practical business solutions
  • A collaborative approach and desire to work closely with internal stakeholders

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking greater involvement in strategy and decision-making while remaining connected to sophisticated insurance-related legal work. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of issues, work alongside experienced professionals, and play an important role in supporting a growing Florida-based insurer
