This opportunity is ideal for an experienced real estate lawyer looking to step into a long‑term, platform‑building role with meaningful responsibility, sophisticated clients, and real career runway.
This practice is consistently recognized for handling complex, high‑value real estate transactions across the U.S. and internationally, advising institutional investors, developers, lenders, private equity sponsors, REITs, and fund managers.
The Opportunity Attorneys in this group play a central role in deal execution and strategy and are trusted with managing matters end‑to‑end. The work includes:
- Large‑scale acquisitions and dispositions
- Construction and permanent financings (lender and borrower side)
- Equity and joint‑venture investments
- Portfolio transactions, REITs, and real estate funds
- Structuring, entity formation, and deal management
The practice spans all major asset classes, including residential, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and land. Senior attorneys are expected to take on leadership within deal teams, manage juniors, and interface directly with clients, while continuing to work closely with partners on complex matters.
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of law firm experience focused on real estate transactions
- Strong command of acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures
- Experience with institutional clients, portfolios, funds, or REITs
- Comfort handling multiple matters with minimal supervision
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client‑management skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Admission to the New York bar or eligibility to waive in (Boston candidates welcome)
