Employment Litigation Special Counsel (Remote)
A leading national labor and employment practice is seeking a seasoned employment litigator to join its team in a fully remote capacity. This opportunity offers the chance to work on complex workplace disputes, advise sophisticated employer clients, and collaborate with attorneys across a nationally recognized management-side practice.
This position is well suited for an attorney who enjoys a blend of litigation, client counseling, administrative agency work, and strategic employment law advisory services.
Responsibilities
- Handle employment litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and resolution.
- Represent employers in state and federal court proceedings involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour disputes, disability and leave issues, wrongful termination claims, and related employment matters.
- Manage responses to EEOC charges, state agency complaints, and other administrative proceedings.
- Counsel employers on day-to-day workplace issues, compliance concerns, and risk management strategies.
- Advise clients and insurers on EPLI-related claims and litigation strategy.
- Conduct workplace investigations and assist with employment policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Draft and review substantive legal filings, including motions, briefs, position statements, and settlement agreements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on evolving employment law developments and workplace challenges.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 8+ years of experience focused on labor and employment law.
- Demonstrated experience handling employment litigation and administrative agency matters.
- Familiarity with EPLI claims and carrier-related matters is a plus.
- Strong written advocacy, oral communication, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to independently manage a busy caseload in a remote work environment.
- Interest in utilizing technology and innovative legal tools to improve client service and efficiency.

Compensation
Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $240,000, plus bonus potential. Compensation will be determined based on experience, location, credentials, and overall fit.
