A growing national practice is seeking a Labor & Employment Counsel to join its team. This opportunity offers the ability to work on sophisticated employment matters for a diverse client base while maintaining the flexibility of a fully remote schedule.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising employers on day-to-day labor and employment matters, managing employment litigation, responding to administrative agency claims, and developing proactive compliance strategies. This role is well-suited for an attorney who enjoys a mix of litigation, counseling, and strategic advisory work.

Labor and Employment Counsel Responsibilities:

  • Defend and manage employment-related disputes from inception through resolution.
  • Handle administrative charges before agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and state fair employment practices agencies.
  • Manage employment litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, overseeing discovery, developing case strategy, and working with clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Counsel clients on a broad range of employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, leave and accommodation matters, restrictive covenants, and employee discipline.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical guidance on evolving federal, state, and local employment laws.

Labor and Employment Counsel Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of labor and employment experience, ideally with a law firm, employment boutique, or sophisticated employment practice.
  • Experience managing administrative charges and employment litigation matters.
  • Strong employment counseling background, including policy review and compliance guidance.
  • Excellent writing, advocacy, and client-management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage matters while working in a remote environment.

Labor and Employment Counsel Benefits:

  • Fully remote and flexible work environment.
  • Opportunity to work with a sophisticated and diverse employer-side client base.
  • Broad exposure to litigation, counseling, compliance, and workplace investigations.
  • Strong support structure with a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.
  • Competitive compensation, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking a highly flexible, remote platform while continuing to handle substantive labor and employment matters in a client-facing practice.
