A leading international law firm is seeking a Commercial & Technology Associate (2+ PQE) to join its growing Commercial team in Southampton. The Team
The Commercial team is part of a nationally recognised practice advising clients across a broad range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, energy, financial services, manufacturing and retail.
Working closely with colleagues across the firm's UK offices, the team supports clients on business-critical commercial arrangements, technology projects and complex contractual matters. The Southampton office is a key part of the firm's continued regional growth strategy and offers the opportunity to undertake City-quality work within a collaborative and flexible environment.
The Opportunity
You will advise clients on a broad range of commercial and technology matters, including:
- Commercial contracts and strategic business arrangements
- SaaS, software licensing and technology agreements
- IT implementation and digital transformation projects
- Outsourcing and managed services agreements
- Data, technology and digital regulatory issues
- Supply, distribution and manufacturing agreements
- E-commerce and online business arrangements
- Technology elements of corporate transactions
- Contract negotiation, drafting and risk management
The role offers significant client contact, early responsibility and the opportunity to develop sector expertise aligned to your interests.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- 2+ years' PQE in commercial contracts, technology, IT or outsourcing matters
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience gained within a recognised commercial or technology practice
- Commercially minded with excellent client relationship skills
- UK-trained and retained lawyer preferred
