We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust and Estates Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in matters related to trusts, estates, and other related areas. They will provide legal counsel to clients on the best course of action for the distribution of their assets, drafting legal documents such as wills, trusts, and power of attorney, and representing clients in probate court proceedings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to clients on trust and estate planning strategies, tax implications, and asset distribution.
- Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and power of attorney that meet client's specific needs and comply with state and federal laws.
- Manage the administration of trusts and estates, including probate court proceedings, and the transfer of assets to beneficiaries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with ongoing advice and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff to ensure efficient and effective legal services are delivered to clients.
- Stay current with changes in laws and regulations related to trusts and estates and apply that knowledge to advise clients.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state where the position is located.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Trust and Estates law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
