We are currently searching for a Senior Legal Counsel with a mix of general corporate and commercial experience. This role will directly to the GC and the ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing the Commercial and Corporate activities of this Series E, Pre-IPO Unicorn. This role would be a great steppingstone in the Blockchain/Crypto world, but obviously, if you have previous experience in the blockchain space, went to a top-tier law school and are well-versed in regulatory matters... that's a layup.
It's your opportunity to be part of a great culture and be at the forefront of the blockchain/crypto space. You also dreamt of jumping on the business side and participating in operations and strategic decisions at a mature pre-IPO company? This is the rare case where the team is lean enough that you will have the chance to work directly with the C-Suite. Bonus point, its famous investors make this company well-funded. Prior in-house experience is preferred, albeit a private practice lawyer that is looking to join an entrepreneurial culture with a big dream might be a fit as well!
Must-have:
- JD from an accredited law school, must-be from a top-tier school;
- 6+ years of experience in Big Law or at a Fintech/Tech/Blockchain company or in a dynamic/cutting-edge environment;
- Roll-up your sleeve attitude;
- Experience dealing with SaaS and master agreements and negotiating with strategic partners on outbound transactions;
- Willing to wear many hats and having a positive attitude;
- A problem-solver mentality- you are pragmatic and solutions-driven;
- Able to advise on different matters relevant to the space, whether it's IP, commercial, cybersecurity and privacy law issues;
- Strong communication skills and social abilities to deal with all the internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
Nice to have:
- In-house experience at a tech company is a plus;
- You worked at a firm where you worked alongside the M&A/PE team on tech transactional matters and you have an understanding of IP issues;
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape.
