Senior Legal Counsel - Leading Water firm
My client is a leading and growing Infrastructure firm and we are recruiting for an Senior Legal Counsel to be based in the Sydney office. You will be given the opportunity to support the business on all legal related matters in the region, and work closely with stakeholders in the market. We are looking for candidates who are looking to scale their career in a leading name in the industry.
Responsibilities for this Senior Legal Counsel - Leading Water firm role
- Negotiate and draft legal documents across various customer/distribution
- Work closely with various stakeholders in the business to negotiate and ensure the contracts objectives are met
- Providing full legal support and rendering legal advice and handling of legal agreements in respect of a broad spectrum of matters
- Be well-versed in handling general legal matters
- To perform good judgement required to address legal issues/ risks & escalate to management
- Handle general corporate and commercial matters such as loan agreements, lease agreements and employment matters
- Procurement contracts including IT contracts for procuring software, hardware, licensing, SaaS and relevant services
- Propose risk mitigation measures to manage the risks arising out of agreements
Requirements for this Senior Legal Counsel - Leading Water firm role
- Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent law qualification, bar-qualified
- At least 6 years of relevant law firm experience / in-house experience in the infrastructure / construction / water industry
- Strong experience in handling general legal matters, M&A and in IP legal work
- Able to prioritize and respond well to changing circumstances and tight timelines
