We are partnering with a Tier 1 US Investment Bank that is seeking a derivatives lawyer to join their expanding Legal team. You will report directly to the Managing Director of the group and will be frequently collaborating with front office Sales and Trading teams across a variety of transactional and regulatory matters. You will be responsible for a variety of derivative related matters, such as trading agreements, corporate equity transactions, and business advisory services. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to be part of a well-established team and make an impact at a top investment bank in the derivatives space.
Responsibilities:
- Play a lead role in drafting and negotiating ISDA based Confirmations and Master Confirmations for complex OTC equity derivatives transactions.
- Advise the sales, marketing and trading teams with respect to rules and regulations that affect equity derivative transactions
- Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships
- Provide thought leadership on '33 Act & '34 Act, Dodd-Frank, bankruptcy and collateral issues, and bank regulatory issues (Reg K, Reg W).
Requirements:
- JD from a top tier Law school
- 3-6 years of experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house within an Investment Bank
- Equity Derivatives Experience
- Trading agreements experience; ISDA based transaction documents experience
