We are partnering with an Investment bank regarding a Senior Counsel, Banking/Lending opening in New York. The firm is looking for a Attorney coming from a Law Firm or In-House who will take lead on a variety of Corporate matters. This individual will be joining a small, but dynamic legal group. This role is 5 month fixed contract that reports directly into the Head of Legal and will have the visibility to work directly with internal and external counsel. The Head of Legal is fully conscious of work life balance as you transition from a law firm or another In-House Firm.
The Senior Counsel will be responsible for drafting loan and trade documents, side letters, consents, etc. and provide general legal advice in connection with corporate law and governance, contract law, UCC/Security interest and other related matters.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Member of the New York bar
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different business units.
- 2-8 years of experience in the healthcare/life sciences space drafting and negotiating relevant agreements.
- Proven experience as a corporate associate with a global law firm or banking institution
