We have partnered with an AmTop100 Law Firm that is seeking an attorney with a background in municipal law and or local government finance to join its Public Finance Practice Group. In this role, you will be responsible for providing reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys, researching public finance laws and regulations, drafting legal documents and memoranda, managing transaction closings and processes, and effectively communicating with clients and colleagues. This role sits out of the firm's Boston, MA office.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on public finance laws, regulations, and case law, and provide detailed analysis and guidance to partners and clients
- Draft legal memoranda and transaction documents with efficiency and clarity
- Manage transaction closings and processes, conduct thorough research and analysis, and communicate effectively with clients and supervising attorneys
- Deliver high-quality legal services to clients and supervising attorneys
Experience:
- You must have a Juris Doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in Massachusetts
- 3-6 years of public finance experience is preferred, however, non-traditional candidates with 3-6 years of experience in municipal law are also encouraged to apply
- You should also have a strong ability to handle a variety of transaction types and structures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Candidates should be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and have excellent organization and project management abilities
