We have partnered with an International Investment Management Firm that is seeking Paralegal to join their expanding Legal Department in Boston. The position will work closely with Legal Counsel in several functional areas to support the growing needs of the fund business. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career Paralegal looking to move into the financial services space, expand upon their experience, and grow within a superior investment management firm. This position will be under a hybrid schedule in Boston.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the firms' fund team on a broad range of legal and regulatory subject areas covered by its members including corporate governance matters
- Assist in the organization, overview, and maintenance of mutual fund corporate governance matters assigned
- Work with a broad range of agreements and legal documents
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders across Legal and various business teams to assist in important projects
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Paralegal experience at a Law firm or within the financial services industry (fund paralegal/legal administration experience preferred)
- Knowledge of fund formation, limited liability companies & other corporate entities, as well as an understanding of corporate governance
- Experience SEC rules & regulations as they pertain to investment advisers is a plus
- Ability to develop practical solutions in the face of business tradeoffs
