We are partnered with the largest medical transportation company, providing emergency and patient relocation services to bring on an experienced Employment Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Advise HR, business partners, and functional teams on labor and employment issues nationwide.
- Communicate effectively with all levels, providing guidance and practical solutions for corporate initiatives.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
- Stay current with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic legal advice on employment law issues (FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, USERRA, OSHA, WARN, etc.).
- Conduct legal research on labor and employment law topics.
- Manage and partner with outside counsel in litigation matters.
- Assist other departments with legal issues related to personnel, employee relations, and labor relations.
- Deliver training on employment law and compliance matters.
- Prioritize and manage concurrent projects with competing demands.
- Lead and advise on cross-functional projects and support legal and business operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of experience in employment and labor law, including investigations, administrative charges, reductions in force, and policy development.
- Awareness of federal and state legislation, rules, regulations, and industry trends.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally on complex projects.
- Strong labor and employment background.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Client-service and commercial orientation.
