Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and transparency. Acting as a key liaison between our hospital system and external vendors, you will negotiate favorable terms, resolve disputes, and drive mutual success.
- Lead the negotiation process for a wide range of vendor contracts, including but not limited to medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, IT services, equipment leases, and facility management.
- Ensure vendor contracts align with federal and state healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, finance, IT, and clinical departments to understand their contractual needs and translate them into legally sound agreements.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the New Jersey State Bar Association.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with Vendor Contracts with a focus on vendor contracts preferably within the healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and Stark Law, as well as an understanding of emerging trends and challenges in the healthcare industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
