A private, American manufacturer is currently seeking a Director of Compliance to join the team in an onsite position in New York. The Director of Compliance will report directly to the VP of Standards and collaborate closely with the legal department.
​The Director of Compliance will be responsible for…​
- Acting in place of company and its interests on various panels such as CSA, NEMA, UL, and NEC
- Consulting on regulation changes and trends with the legal department and Business Units
- Creating and executing new Codes
- Consulting on new product development and comprehension of strategies by working across various Business Units
- Ensuring appropriate testing is in place to meet NRTL certification and ongoing compliance in labs and factories
​The Director of Compliance should have the following qualifications: ​
- Bachelors in Engineering. Master's degree or JD preferred
- 10 years experience collaborating with Standards organizations and/or third-party compliance
- Experience with NEMA, CSA, NFPA, IEC, and UL
- Exhaustive knowledge of the Code making procedures in relation to regulations, by-laws, and rules
