A client is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Litigation Associate to join their team in any of their California offices. This is a unique opportunity for a talented attorney to work on high-profile cases in the field of data breach and consumer privacy class actions in both state and federal courts.
Key Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of litigation experience in data breach and consumer privacy class actions.
- Class action defense experience through class certification in California is required.
- Proven experience in litigation involving data security incidents such as ransomware, and consumer privacy claims related to the disclosure of data via cookies, pixels, and other tracking technologies (including wiretapping and California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) claims).
- Ability to autonomously run cases, manage client interactions, conduct investigations, engage with technical experts, and negotiate settlements with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling court hearings, mediations, depositions, and legal proceedings in both litigation and settlement negotiations.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience training and supervising junior associates.
- Must be barred in California and possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
